This was not only about taxes—it was about identity and ownership.
People were once made in God’s image, but many now live with the image of the world engraved on their hearts,
serving money and power instead of God.

Jesus asks us the same question today:
“Whose image is on your heart?”
When we can answer, “Lord, my heart belongs to You alone,”
Jesus embraces us as His own.
